Connect your bank account

Link your bank through Plaid, sync transactions automatically, and map accounts to your general ledger.

Connecting your bank lets Bizdivers import transactions automatically, so reconciliation stops being a copy-paste job.

Connecting

  1. In the sidebar, go to Expense → Banking and stay on the Accounts tab.
  2. Click Connect Bank (or Connect Your First Bank if this is your first one).
  3. A secure Plaid window opens. Search for your bank and sign in with your online-banking credentials. Some banks briefly redirect you to their own login page and bring you right back. That's normal.
  4. When it completes you'll see a confirmation that your institution connected successfully and accounts are being synced.

Bizdivers never stores your banking credentials. The connection is handled entirely by Plaid, the same service used by most major financial apps.

After connecting

  • Each account appears as a card showing its balance and Last synced time, with a Sync button to pull the latest transactions on demand.
  • Use the GL Account Mapping dropdown on each card to tell Bizdivers which general-ledger account the bank account corresponds to. This is what makes categorization and reconciliation flow into your books.
  • The Connected Institutions section lists every bank with its status and last sync. Use Disconnect if you ever need to remove one.

Where the transactions go

Imported transactions land on the Transactions tab, and anything that needs a human decision shows up in the Review Queue. You can also set up Rules to categorize recurring transactions automatically.

Prefer not to link online banking? You can create a manual account and use Import CSV to load transactions from a file instead.
